Performance meets practice!
New video series on the apps for creo elements/direct

Theory is good, practice is better. This could be the motto of our new video series, as it shows the use of SolidSteel, SolidPipe and the Part Assistant in short videos using a practical example from plant/vessel construction. Don't be fooled by the shortness of the videos, they show all working steps in detail. We didn't have to trick with the time, because even if we cut the videos a little bit here and there, what is shown is created almost in real time! For example, our first video showing the construction of a bolted steel structure with frame corners and cross bracing including all details is 7:51 min. - the video template used here was not much longer at 12.5 minutes.

As a practical example, the video series shows the planning of a tank including piping and the associated connections such as flanges, which is installed on a framework. Accessibility and safety are of course not neglected, so that the stairs and railings are added in the last part of the video series.

Part 1: Structural Steel Design

The first part of the video series is all about the framework. For this we use SolidSteel, our powerful 3D CAD solution for mechanical engineering, plant engineering and classic steel construction. See for yourself how the extensive libraries for profiles and typical steelwork connections can be used to handle everyday tasks quickly, professionally and trouble-free.

Part 2: Tanks and piping

In the second part of the video series, the tank and the associated pipes are created. For this we use SolidPipe and the Part Assistant for creo elements/direct. Thanks to SolidPipe, you can create intertwined pipelines with branches and transition pieces, tanks with installed and add-on parts, fittings and much more with just a few clicks, and the Part Assistant is our standard parts library & administration and can also do more, as you will see in the video.

Part 3: Stairs and Handrails

Even if after the two previous videos everything is already stable and does not fall over anymore, of course it still has to be ensured that employees can comfortably get onto the platform and cannot fall off. With the help of SolidSteel, this is no problem, as railings and staircases can be constructed in no time.
