One of SolidSteel parametric's highlights is a completely new developed data format for steelwork. In addition to the geometrical information, the data format includes the whole steelwork logic.

For example, the coordinates of the system lines, the connected profiles of the system lines or special placement options (as rotation angles or eccentricities for the profiles) are considered as geometrical information. Furthermore, all logic connections are managed. A simple case concerns space information or data about the placement of system lines or profiles. In addition to that, all information about the connections are saved by the connection points. The range of connections is from simple cutting or trim functions to standard connections like head plates and complex connections like frame corners. The frame corners can consist of various elements.
